What is your name?
Mike Parejo

How old are you?
32

What is your occupation?
Student Ministries Pastor at Pantano Christian Church

Who is your family? (i.e., wife/husband, kids, siblings, ect.)
I have been married to my amazing wife April for almost ten years! My oldest son Nathan is five years old and my younger son Logan is 3 years old.

How long have you been involved in Student Ministries?
I have been working with students since 1996 - as a volunteer youth coach in San Jose, California for the first seven years and the past four here at Pantano.

When and how did you become a Christian?
I answered God’s call to follow Jesus as an 18-year old freshman in college. My good friend (and now my wife) said that she would take me out for breakfast if I went to church with her. The bacon and eggs were good, but the good news about Jesus was irresistible and I became a Christian that morning.

What is a little known fact about you?
I went to college with NBA MVP Steve Nash of the Phoenix Suns - we sat next to each other in calculus.

What is your worst high school or middle school memory?
The moment I realized I was a big dork.

What is your favorite high school or middle school memory?
Winning the deciding tennis match against our cross-town rivals in high school.

Do you have any pets?
I have a psychotic nine-year old Jack Russell Terrier named Jake

What is your favorite book of the Bible?
Do I have to choose just one? I dig Malachi in the Old Testament and James in the New Testament.

What is your favorite flavor of Eegee’s?
ain’t nothin’ finer than Orange Dream

How many broken bones or stitches have you had?
one broken bone (in my hand) and one set of 5 stitches (over my eyebrow). Good stories for both, not enough room to share them here, maybe I’ll blog about it sometime!

What is your favorite movie?
I’m a movie freak, so it is hard to limit it to just one. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is hard to beat, but I can always pop in ”The Negotiator” with Kevin Spacey and Samuel L Jackson.

What is your most memorable Student Ministries experience?
anytime God allows me to be there when a student accepts Jesus or gets baptized.

I don’t get there much anymore, but I’ll always take Maui in December

What, when I’m not driving the Batmobile? A Saturn SL2 gets the job done.
