Stephani Pretti

Student Ministries Leader

I became a Christian…kind of twice. :) I grew up in a Christian home with two Godly, loving parents and attended a Christian school from 4th - 12th grade. During a chapel service when I was 13, I silently accepted Christ, but it wasn’t until I was 16 that I made my public acceptance of Christ. It was Youth Sunday at my former church and my future brother-in-law preached an excellent sermon. I don’t remember what it was about — I just remembered it compelled me to finally go forward to accept Christ publicly and be baptized. My sister and I were both baptized that morning by our dad. I have been a follower of Christ ever since and don’t ever want to live without him.

I first become involved in Student Ministries….here at Pantano in November 1999 when I was invited by a friend to check it out. The first year was challenging, but I stuck it out and began to really love it as I became connected with a couple of my girls in the high small group I was leading. While attending the CIY Summer Conference in June 2005, God did a number on my heart and called me to join Student Ministries full time. So, in September 2005, I did a life change and joined the Student Ministries staff. I absolutely love working in Student Ministries and couldn’t image being anywhere else!

Other info on me…my family and I moved to Tucson in August 1984 when I was 9 years old. I attended Palo Verde Christian School for 9 years and graduated in 1993. I then went to the University of Arizona and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. My parents, my sister Leah, her husband Dave and their two boys, Andrew & Austin, and my brother Ryan and his wife Yolande also live in Tucson. I love to spend time with them having BBQs, playing cards and playing with my nephews. I also enjoy gardening, playing volleyball, traveling and hanging out with my students.
