PhD student in Planetary Science at the U of A

Justin (27); no kids….yet  Mom, Dad, and 1 sister (Andrea, 29)

When and how did you become a Christian?

I grew up in a Christian home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and gave my life to Christ when I was 7 and was baptized when I was 11.
I’ve reaffirmed my commitment to Him through various ups and downs, and here I am today, totally in awe of the Lord Jesus, my Savior!

What is a little known fact about you?

I’m a pescatarian (the only meat I eat is fish); I am a private pilot.

What is your worst high school or middle school memory?

In Calculus, my senior year of high school, I knew the answer to a tough question and excitedly started to answer. Instead of saying “set six equal to blah, blah,” I got my tongue-tied and said “sex!” People laughed. I was mortified. It was ugly.

What is your favorite high school or middle school memory?

Playing oboe and English horn solos in our marching band show at Grand National Championships my senior year. We won 7th place!

Do you have any pets?

Unfortunately, no. Justin and I are discussing adopting a dog sometime this year.

What is your favorite book of the Bible?

Whoa, tough question! I definitely love: I and II Samuel (I’m a big fan of David), Isaiah (especially the second half!), and I and II Corinthians

What is your favorite flavor of Eegee’s?

The only one I’ve tried is lemon, and it was pretty good. I have a feeling grape would be my favorite, though.

How many broken bones or stitches have you had?

Zero…yahoo for me!

What is your favorite movie?

Too hard to pick just one! Waiting for Guffman, The Saint, Parent Trap (the old school, Hayley Mills one), Emperor’s New Groove…to name a few.

What is your most memorable Student Ministries experience?

Winter Camp ’08. But seeing Brian slather lotion all over his hairy legs my first Wednesday night was quite memorable as well.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Four Seasons Hotel, Maui, Hawaii

What kind of car do you drive?

Red 2003 Honda Accord Coupe; her name is Carla.

What is your favorite kind of candy?

Andes mints and grape Laffy Taffy

What is your favorite music genre?

I love 90s music! Also, Bjork, classical and any Christian music

What is your favorite kind of bug?

Ladybug—they’re good luck!
